Marlee Girl Update

So it seems that Marlee really, really needs tubes!!

We saw the ENT today and when she looked in Marlee's ears she said that there was "mucus" in there! The mucus is what has been causing her so much pain.- Last night was really bad! She was moaning in her crib and by the time I got up there she was full blown screaming:( Doctor said that it may help her if she is proped up a little bit in bed or if I rock her to sleep.  Mucus apparently happens when the fluid in her ears have been there for a while. She said that in surgery they will suck it out and when they do it will be just like rubber cement! So it obviously would not clear easily on it's own.

If Marlee girl did not get tubes she would suffer with this pain for quite a while. This whole cycle of her being in pain and getting on a number of antibiotics (that wouldn't help with the pressure) would continue for a while.

Basically, this is the only option at this time.

Marlee is still miserable but she is still also very delightful! She was smiling and playing with everyone at the doctors office and she got a lot of attention because Noah wasn't there:)  The doctor said that she could not believe how happy Marlee was after all she has been through in the past two months.

We are confident that we are doing the right thing for our girl. We are actually feeling relieved and we can finally see a light at the end of this tunnel. But of course, we are worried about our sweet girl. Please keep her in your thoughts and we will keep you posted.
